With his meteoric rise from the underground in 2018, it’s no surprise that the opening date of ChillinIt’s The Ashes 2019 tour - appropriately held in his hometown of Sydney - is completely sold out. Having put up impressive numbers with his debut album Women, Weed & Wordplay and amassing a truly cult fanbase since his return to rap, there’s few artists who can match the intense charisma of the Hurstville emcee.

With support from his frequent collaborators Wombat & Talakai, Chill’s show at The Factory Theatre is a hyper-adrenaline affair: There’s stage dives, beach balls being kicked onto the dancefloor by Skeaz Lauren, and every hook is barked back by the audience at an ear-splitting volume. Other underground staples like Fortay, Sesk, That Kid Kearve & Triple One are also present, forming a mob who rush the stage in cricket outfits for the closing ‘Wish You Well Pt. 2’.

This show was pure mayhem, and if The Ashes tour is hitting your town over the coming weeks, prepare to leave sweat-drenched. Tour dates here, and see the backstage and onstage action below:
